The Pentatonic Scale

Here's a simple lesson demonstrating the notes of the pentatonic scale. It's a useful scale because you can improvise riffs and solos just with 5 notes. For more, check out this and this.

Key = C

In the key of C we have the notes (1) C (2) D (3) E, (4) F, (5) G, (6) and (7) B, but the pentatonic scale only uses five notes. We take away the 4th and 7th notes and get: (1) C (2) D (3)
And (5) and G (6) A. Here are various positions in the key of C.
