None But Jesus (pentatonic scale)

After Jerome did the tabs for None but Jesus, I was improvising over the instrumental, and came up with this variation which makes heavy use of the pentatonic scale. The pentatonic scale comprises of just 5 notes - 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 - so its a good tool to start your improvisations.

C major (or A minor) pentatonic scales look like this:

------------------5-8---
--------------5-8-------
---------5-7------------
-----5-7----------------
-5-7--------------------
------------------------

-10-8----------------
------10-8-----------
-----------9-7-------
---------------10-7--
---------------------
---------------------

-------------------------12-15-
-------------------13-15-------
-------------12-14-------------
-------12-14-------------------
-12-15-------------------------
-------------------------------

Lastly, add lots of slides and bends to jazz it up, else it'd sound pretty bland with just 5 notes.

Tabs
I under-bent several of the bends so that the note just misses by a bit to get a bluesy effect.

---------------------------------------
-5-6-8---------------------------------
-------5-7-----5-7-7b9r7-5h7-5---------
-----------5s7-----------------7-5h7-7-

hey teeb,
kenny said he relied heavily on the pentatonic scale
but he still used some other notes too

and an A minor pentatonic is the relative minor of the C major pentatonic

all the same notes
just different starting note
