Salvation is Here (Guitarpraise Collaboration)

Kenny: some folks have been recording and collaborating through the guitarpraise forum, and have recorded their own version of Salvation is Here. All instruments (i.e. drums guitar bass) + vocals were recorded from scratch, no parts from the original recording was used! Its not 100% done yet, but Jerome has put up the tabs for some of the electric guitar parts below. Catch in on the discussion at the forum. Hopefully we'll have a collaborative video soon as well :)

By Jerome

Tkasap (Timmy) - Drums
AznKenshin (Darren) - Bass
3crthebest (Jerome) - Guitar
Osq_122 (Zach) - Vocals
Irajames (ira) - mixing/mastering

Tone-wise, I used my "church praise" patch (on my Pod XTL), with some changes to the delay settings:
FDBK 32%
MIX% 26
TAP TEMPO - 146.3

Intro:
--------------------
---12-11-7----------
---11---------------

Verse 1: Volume swells

----------------4-------
G#m E

Pre-verse riff: Strum

B E F# B
B E F# B

Verse 2:
---------------
---12----------
---11----------
---9-----------
---------------
---------------

Followed by:

G#m and E

Chorus: strum the chords

B E F# G#m
B E C#m B

Then back to the Intro riff, Verse 2 riff and the chorus repeated 2x. I then ended with a B inversion chord.

Instrumental: I kinda remixed it

with wah
--9---4--9---4---9---4----
--9---4--9---4---9---4----
--9---4--9---4---9---4----
--9---4--9---4---9---4----

Followed by: it's similar to the break free riff.

Just curious. What type of amp and guitar are you using? I use a POD as well but right now I am shopping for a new small amp to mic at church because I don't have the time to drag a big amp out of the car with less than a hour to setup and sound check with the band for mens prayer.
