Merry Christmas!

It's past midnight in Singapore, but I'm sure many of you are still enjoying good company at Christmas parties, waiting for Christmas to arrive! Here's wishing you a blessed Christmas!

Christmas is also a time of worship. When Jesus was born, we see:

i) Worship in the spiritual realm
"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.'" (Luke 2:13-14)

ii) Worship amongst the common people
"So [the shepherds] hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger... The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told." (Luke 2: 16, 20)

iii) Worship amongst the elite
"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi [wise men] from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.... On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh." (Matthew 2:1-2, 11)

All angels and people from different walks of life worshiped Christ when He came to dwell amongst us. Similarly, what better way to celebrate God's love for us and His work of redemption through Christ on Christmas day by worshiping Him?
