Here's track no.2 - Break Free. There are some elements from the Hillsong United version that I prefer though, so check that out too, especially for the chords and the rhythm guitar parts. In this post I focus mainly on the new elements.
Tone-wise, I've used a Class 30-Tubescreamer simulation (tone 1C if you have my patches). The sound is much less dominating that what I usually use, which is especially good if you have another electric guitarist. Try to complement the other electric guitarist in your band, and avoid turning the rehearsal into a out-domineering session, tone-wise. This entails using less distortion, and a less sharper sound. Avoid duplication also, e.g. both playing power chords.

how do you do the sweep the guitar player does in the intro? is it harmonics?
Rake the strings as you palm mute them with your fretting hand. Use distortion.
Thanks Kenny, I really prefer this whole version better aside from the bridge, I love this song live. =D In addition to what you have here, some other differences:
When going from the verse into the chorus the first guitar plays 5x7, 7x9, 9x11, 11x13 on the A and G strings. During the chorus the first guitar doesn't play an E before the F#m, and also goes to the lower one. At the end of the bridge the first guitar plays Bm then D before going into the chorus.
Keep up the good work, and God bless.
Hey kenny, just wanna ask about the pickups you had on your guitar for this song. Cause i saw the post on pick ups regarding single coil and humbuckers. Well, the riff with the clean sound, sounds like a single coil, but the aside the riff, it sounds like humbuckers. Please enlighten me.
Yep you're right. I used a push-pull pot. I think i used the middle position for the verse.
Kenny, do you know what chords to use during the bridge for the acoustic? If you do, thanks, if you don't, that's alright.
hi
any heads up on the Wah effect used in the riffing after the bridge?
Thanks
