Fire Fall Down

By Ronald

Intro, Verse, Prechorus
Well here it is....

Sound wise go for a clean strat type tone(Vox amp!!?).

I Think Michael Guy Chisllet uses it to for this recording when he overdubbed the track.

Delay is also needed for this track. The exact setting is 73 bpm with the delay set for the dotted eight note setting. So that is 625ms. Go between 1 and 2 repeats. That’s how you get the bell like tone. MGC is a real fan of the Edge, so that’s where his inspiration on this song came out he told me.

The song is in the key of F#, so you can put a capo on the second fret for playing in E.

That’s a lot easier and nicer sounding with the open e and b string.

There is also a tremolo picked high note played at the beginning of the song by MGC on the dvd. This is the note to play.

That’s all for this Part.

Chorus 1, Verse 2
(from 2:08 to )

The settings are still the same as with above. Keep the notes even and let the strings ring out clearly. I put the capo on the second fret for the open string licks. The video didn't sync properly with the sound at the end, somehow.

Here’s the tab (All notes and chord names are relative to capo II).

Keep of the good work.

Thanks for the work on the tabs. I'm fairly new to effects and I have one question. Exactly what pieces of equipment would I need to get the delay set to match that? I have a Vox AD60VTX. Thanks!

Hi Josh,

Sorry for the late response but i had some problems with my PC.

Good pedals for these kind of tones are. Line6 echopark and the boss DD5. But i think that you can you can make the sounds with your VOx to.

A delay contains mostly a Feedback controle, this is for how many repeats you want the delay to ring. For this song it is between 1 and 2. The most important control is the speed or time control. You have to set this one by ear. Listen closly to the fisrt part of the song. you can here the delay ring there clearly. Match your delay sound with that. The other control you mostly have is the output of the delay effect. Set this one a bit lower that your guitar volume.

Hope it helps.

If you need any help just ask.

God's bless

Ronald

Thanks so much. But, I'm kinda confused about something. Do you ADD 2 or subtract 2 from the fret numbers if you don't have a capo on...?
