Glory to God

By Eman

Here's another song from the new Hillsong album.. the riffs are pretty easy; the song is also in the key of E, and is in 3/4 timing.

Intro:
Use both the neck and bridge pickups concurrently for a warm sound..

--12p0-11--12-12-12--
---------------------
--------------------- (3x)
---------------------
---------------------
---------------------

--12p0-11--12s14-14-14--
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------

--12p0-11--12-12-12--

---------------------
---------------------
---------------------

--12p0-11--12s16-16-16--
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------

for the pre-chorus and chorus i changed to my bridge pick-up
for a brigther sound..

-------------------------------
----12--12--12-----14--14--14--
--11--11--11--11s13--13--13----
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
(2x)
--------------------
--10--9--9--7h9p7---
-9--9--9---------9--
--------------------
--------------------
--------------------

For chorus just play these chords..

EC#A
BC#A

no---it's 3/4...if you can play drums...try to play like a valzer beat..you can see its in 3/4..or if i'm wrong in 6/8, but more in 3/4

Oh wait.. I was going crazy.. My bad..

I just listened to it again.. The guitar is playing triplets so it sounds like a 3/4 beat but the song is a 4/4 beat. I think it's playing at around 100 BPMs..

It's easy to get mixed up sometimes, but the song is definitely in 6/8.
Just count the 6 beats in the bar and you should get it.

instead of hitting the open E note for the intro shouldn't it be the note Ab?

i agree ...should be Ab in place of that open E you're playing
..the rest sounds good!

It's either a quick 6/8 or more appropriately "cut time", or 2/2.

This song is in 4/4 timing. The guitar phrases are in 4 bar phrases.
