To Know Your Name (Acoustic Instrumental)

Been awhile since I recorded with my acoustic, and I quite like Hillsong's 'To Know Your Name', so here's an arrangement I did with the song. If you use headphones you can hear the stereo effects, e.g. one acoustic's on the left, another's on the right.

Some things I picked up while doing the acoustic arrangement:
  • One way to accommodate two acoustics is to have both play open chords, using capos. Here, I recorded one acoustic with the 'D G A Em' chord shapes, and the other with the 'C F G Am' chord shapes.
  • Vary the volume of your acoustic to give the song more feeling. Or just worship along, it'll come naturally. :)
  • Use a compressor with acoustic - helps to prevent clipping.
