Pod X3L Update

Did some major tweaks to my patches, mainly to cut down on the distortion to let the guitar's natural sound come out a little more. Another trick i learnt is to put the volume pedal nearer to the front of the effects chain - this allows you to change both the distortion and volume at the same time, much like adjusting the volume knob on your guitar. Very useful to vary your lead tone. For more, check out the in-video comments in the vid below:

Thanks so much for continuing to post your POD updates, Kenny. This is a valuable resource for me as I become more familiar and comfortable with my POD, and using it in a worship setting. I especially appreciate the video you included in this post, showing the settings in Gearbox and being able to hear the tones for each setting.

Hey Kenny, experiment with that flange that you used on One Way next time with Blessed Be Your Name, its a really cool effect that I've used occasionally that many bandmates like! God bless man!

personally i prefer my volume pedal to be at the end of the chain, as a sort of master volume control, since most of the time i just use it to reduce my volume, not gain and distortion as well :)

Hi Kenny,

Need some assistance with you in regards with your patches. I've downloaded all of your patches but it seems my pod x3 live won't open some of your tones shown here in the videos. Some of your patches like delays, clean, and flanger are not showing up on my pod x3 live memory bank so wondering if you can give me some advice what to do.

Your tones are what I'm really looking for since most of the tones that praise and worship bands using are not that too strong since I also play in a local church from where I live. Many thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
