What the World Will Never Take (Acoustic) - Palm Mutes

The acoustic guitarist can do more than strum chords - he/she can also help strengthen the groove by making percussive sounds using mutes, much like how the electric guitarist does in Break Free. Check out this example with what the world will never take, with a slow-mo version at the end:

To do palm mutes, rest your fingers lightly on the strings, and strum. Don't fret so hard such that notes ring out.

hey, i don't think that's called Palm Muting. I think that's just muting. Palm muting is when you're still playing while muting slightly with your STRUMMING hand.
So you still hear the chords you're playing. It sounds really cool when you know how to do it
