Guitar Workshop Notes

I taught some youths in my church some acoustic guitar last year, at the intermediate level. The primary aim was to teach them new chords and strumming patterns to use for cell group or for small events because many of them were stuck with a few open chords, and one or two strumming patterns. The topics covered were:
- Reading tablature, basic theory, transposing to another key.
- Sus chords, chords with a different bass note (e.g. G/B), power chords, 'E' chords, barre chords.
- Different strumming patterns.

Some of you might like to look through the notes, and I've put the notes online: click here to download. Scroll down to view a few sample pages.

That's really awesome! I'm a guitarist in Taiwan, and serving in our church. I'm going to teach guitar in our church, so may I translate them into Chinese and teach them by this note? I really like these notes!

Hey Kenny,

If you can get the Beginner's notes that would be awesome. I'm going to be teaching the n00bs soon and would love something to work with.

Hi, can i make a humble request here? Most of the sites I go don't really teach the usage of capo in an in-depth manner. Can you furnish me with the theory behind it? =D
