Till I See You + Improvising with Chord Shapes

Here's Till I See You by Hillsong United, which uses chords further up the fretboard.

Tabs
Verse
Just play around with this chord:
--7---------
--7---------
--9---------
--9---------
------------
------------

Chorus
------------------------------
-----7-------7---5---7------7-
---9-----8---------6------9---
-9---------9------------9-----
------------------------------
------------------------------
E B/D# C#m7 B

---------------------------------------
---------------------0------0----------
-----4------4------6------2--------4---
---2------4------6------2--------4-----
-0------2------4--------------2--------
---------------------------------------
Asus2 B C#m7 Asus2 B

While these chords may seem useful only for rhythm stuff, it can be incorporated into your improvisations. In the following video, I build on the chorus' chords, adding a few notes at the end, to play a fill in between each sung line. It's probably not nice to do this for every line, but maybe the occasional fill at the last chorus would be suitable. Treat this more as an exercise though, rather than something you can apply in the song itself.

The vid is entirely improvised; so try, as I've done, to use the chords as a basis for your improvised fills. Lastly, I find that using some palm mutes on the chords helps to tighten them up.

Palm muted notes are in bold.

do you have the tabs for it brother kenny?

Not really, but you really should try improvising on your own, based on the chords from the original.. it'd be a good exercise.

Hi Kenny. I know you alread said that you don't have any tabs for that improvi. and we should try to make our own. The problem is that I'm not that good to make something like that. I don't even know how to play scale. But I really love your version and it would be so cool to play this in our little worship band. So please seriously couldn't you put the tabs for your solo here? Pleaseeee :D. If you really don't want to it's ok. I'm just asking you for a little help. (btw ofcorse I won't publish it anywhere)
