Every novice bass player should know these common bass arpeggio positions:
The following are the positions for the C major and C minor chords.
C major position 1

Note that I've used the proper fingering to play the notes. It's important to keep practising these positions for various chords to develop your fingers strength and flexibility (especially the 3rd and 4th finger). The reader should be able to transpose these to any other chord.

this should be Cminor isnt it?
what does it refer to as C minor/major scales when there is no C string what does it mean?
Is it possible to put letters instead of numbers? I don't understand how to read the numbers.
the numbers represent the number of frets in a guitar, whether it's a guitar or bass guitar, (e.g. 1 is the 1st fret) an so forth.
