Holy Spirit (bass)

By Bass Levite

In the first verse, prechorus and chorus, the playing style is gentle and subtle. Just hit each chord once and let it ring out initially.

Intro:
| C | G/B | F | Am G |

Verse:
| C | G/B | F | Am G |
| C | G/B | Gm/Bb | F G |

Prechorus:
| Dm | G | C G/B | Am |
| Dm | G | Gm/Bb | F G |

Chorus:
| C | C C C C/E | F | F F F F/G |
| Am | G | F | G |

Use long picking notes for the chorus (let each note ring out).

Bridge:
| F | G Am | F | Em G |
| F | G Am | F | G |

Use short picking notes for the bridge (mute the string after playing each note).

There's walking and running skills done after the first time round, in order to build up the worship atmosphere. There might be discontinuities in the riffs because I recorded each section of the song separately do reduce the file size.

Verse
-----------------------
-----------------------
-3---3-2-----------2-5-
---3-----1-3-5-3-3-----

-----------------------
-----------------------
-3---3-2-1---------3---
---3-------1-3-3-5---5-

Prechorus
I didn't warm up my fingers before recording, so that's why the running skills were a bit sloppy.

-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-3h5-3---------3---3-2-0-----
-------5-3-3-5---3-------5-5-

-----------------------------
-----------------------------
---3-3h5-3-------1-1-1-------
-3---------5-3-3-------1-1-3-

-------------
-------------
-----3-------
-1-3---5-3-1-

Chorus

Run this at the end of the chorus if you want to repeat it again.

G C
-----------------
-----------------
-------3-------3-
-3-1-3---5-3-1---

Play this walk to transition from C to the high F.

C F
--------------
-------2---3--
-3-3-5---3----
--------------

Bridge

Play this at the end of every 2nd and 8th bar of the bridge.
-----------------
-----------------
-------3-2-------
-5-3-5-----5-3-5-

You may also hold the last note at G instead of playing the A (as in the video).

Most importantly, don't follow these tabs too rigidly. Flow with the worshipful spirit and put on your creative caps and improvise!
