Now That You're Near (intro-prechorus-bridge)

Here are the tabs for Now That You're Near. The prechorus & intro sections use notes in octaves, meaning that the same note is played, but at different pitches. This makes the note sound out stronger. Some stretching is due as well for the bridge section, which also requires palm muting the bass notes (place your palm near the bridge, on top of the low E and A strings). Use power chords for the other parts of the song.

was what you played in the prechorus the harmony of C#m A E B? it sounded nice whatever it was

Sort of..
The chords are C# A E B
While i played C# E G# D#
which are the root notes of C#, 5th note for A, 3rd note of E, and the 3rd note of B - these notes are found in the notes that make up these chords.

how do you think of that? lol
i wana know because that's really good thinking what part of theory or w/e is that?

Oh.. its actually in the original recording, but some theory helps you understand what Hillsong is doing with the riffs, so you can apply it elsewhere.

Hey dude! This might sound pretty wierd, but I've kind of taught myself how to play. How do you make the Intro
----------------------------------
-13--14--16--14---(repeat)--------
----------------------------------
-11--12--14--12-------------------
----------------------------------

Without toucjing the middle string? I've tried to mute it but I just can't :P Any tips?

When you pluck the lower string, keep your finger at a low angle to the fretboard.. it will touch the middle string a little, thus muting it.

i think you meant pre chorus for the bridge part. im pretty sure the bridge didnt have a solo, and went like "And I will sing for you always...."

Hey!
Very Good!
I'd just like to know what does the guitar solo plays at the bridge?
It's a riff, but I could not take it...
Thanks!

For the chorus:

E - B - C# - A

(repeat twice)

Well, kenny, do you know the alternative for the bridge because when I play it doesn't even like a song. Thanks and GOD Bless U always

I noticed you left out a really cool line from the bridge. goes like this:

B----7-9------7--
G--9------8-9---

which occurs after C#m and A
