Playing with articulation

Here's a quick video on using bends, hammer-ons/pull-offs, slides and short fills to better articulate your solo-ing. The aim is to get your guitar to 'sing'. Enjoy!

in order to avoid over doing..... remember the root notes on the scale that you play.... so just in case that you forget, you will always know how to end it. no matter what it will sound good by ending it with a root note. However don't always end in that note cuz the song will sound bland and repetitive. Use this strategy any time but don't over do it.

"You are my All in All"

You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all
....
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name

im pretty sure that's the song :)

Great video, phrasing is essential for improving your playing style..I find its where you tend to learn more about yourself.I'd like to think of it as finding your musical voice, changing a pentatonic, phrygian, myxolydian or any other scale into your pentatonic, phrygian ,etc. Great job

another way that i found to smooth out my sound is volume swells. if you have a volume pedal, try playing around with it, but it only works on certain songs, so experiment around. if you dont have a volume pedal, a wah might do, but it'd depend on the type of wah you have and the song.

this song is canon... there are many songwritters and musicians who just love to make their own version of this, like the song is canon rock. It uses the same melody and chords. You are my all in all, is based on the song canon, like many others too.

I know this, we sing many times with my youth group, but in our language, so I didn't know the English verision until now. I also played it today to the childrens today :) (ok, they are not really childrens, but teens).
