This is an awesome tab! (Like all on this site.) I wanna use this on in my youth group. But ..um, that part when you're on the 12th and 14th fret, how did you do that? It was like pause and release or something. I can't get it to work the same way as in this video...

yea this is an awesome song!! but i was wondering if it was in the same key as the newsboys version of i am free, or in other words if i could use this intro when we play it at youth group. thanks

The newsboys version is in E, Desperations is in D

This is great, ...and an improvement over how I was playing it. Thanks!

I'd love to see the fast picking part during the early verse sections. These old ears just can't seem to focus at that speed even thought it may not be that complicated. thanks again

Hey guys, for the last part of the riffs, its just palm muting to get that effect.
Its the same notes just palm muting.
So it really has to do with strumming and palm muting at the same time.
Hope this helps!!

So if i wanted to play this in the key of F where would i start?

To play in "F" use a capo on the first fret and play everything one fret higher than in "E"

Sorry, I was thinking the song was in E. To play in "F" you'd capo on the third fret
