Follow the Son (Hillsong )

By Kenny & Jerome

Here's the Hillsong version of Follow the Son. Jerome did the tabs & the slow-mo part in the 2nd half, and I played with the music in the first half. I switched around from the rhythm to the lead with the music, was rather confusing!

(New) Also see Jerome's full video at the end.

There may be some slight changes i did while I played with the music.. but the tabs should be more or less accurate.

Jerome's Recording

As you notice Kenny plays differently from the one i do here. He plays the second half of
bridge same as the first half:

---------
-12------
-11------
-13------
---------
---------

Instead, I played the second half like Nigel plays
---------
-14------
-14------
-14------
---------
---------
But its up to you guys to play want you want.

well for the intro lead guitar's part it's easier if your ring finger is covering the b d g strings on the ninth fret with the end of the ring finger on the d string. and the other fingers where the 8th and seventh fret are on the other 2 srings.

7th fret= index
8th fret= middle
9th fret= ring
e---------------------
b--7---9--------------
g----8-9--------------
d------9--------------

look at the mighty to save guitar workshop for better view of it.

hey ken, do you play all downstroke or alternate picking for the verse? i tried alternate picking but dun have the kick while playing. but all downstroke seems too fast to stay in beat with the music.

Downstrokes, with a tad bit of palm mutes..

you know, on the intro you're playing the rythm guitar...and i figured that the lead actually plays:
-----------------------------------
-9-9-7-7-9-9-10-10--9-9-9-9-7-7-7-7
-9-9-9-9-9-9-9--9---9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
and in the 1rsdt half of the verse it does nothing just an observation
