Solution

Its not perfect, because the quality of the recording on United Live's myspace isn't very good, and its hard to pick out the notes, and also because I didn't spend enough time practicing the parts, but its more or less there; enjoy!

dude... you are amazing. God's blessed you with a great ear for picking up stuff and teaching others. You should be getting paid for this stuff.... but it's for the glory of God.

Very Nice!
Once again, great work for getting it out so early and with a reasonable copy of the music - will tune in for a better analysation of the riff =)

Thanks,

Anonymous said...

Hey man, what effects do you use throughout the song? I've been playing around with Gearbox and I can't come up with anything that sounds as good as yours.

user said...

you can download my patches under 'theory and techniques'..

some errors to point out:
lead parts are in C while the chords you gave are in B. double checked with the song and your lead parts are 1 fret higher. except for the intro.

What pickups are on your guitar. What did you use?

Thanks

whenever I play the intro riff i tend to occasionally pick the wrong string and obvious it sounds all bad so i wondering you guys had some tips as to how to hit the right strings on that intro riff? (and yeah obvious practice practice practice, but like do you guys have some methods or tips that help you guys play that riff easily and for the most part without errors?)

Will said...

You answered your own question - there isn't really a method that helps you play perfectly and easily besides practice.

Hmm I'm also trying to figure out what chords to play during the solo...

G# E B F#

is it just me or does that Gdim7 soudn kinda weird, i dont understand how to play that one part in the song where it ends with that, and how comee in the comment u put a different way to pay Gdim7?

Brian said...

On the Hillsong charts, they have a D#/G where you have the Gdim7. I think both sound okay with the song. You can also play the Gdim7 like this:

--X--
--X--
--12--
--11--
--10--
--X--

where would you start if you wanted to play it in A(the solo i mean)

Anonymous said...

Hello! I am learning this song for the lead part and I do believe that the electric guitar is in the DADGBE tuning, because he obviously uses the 3 lowest string for that E chord and it is always much easier to play an E with that tuning.

#2, Where u have that weird G chord, if u tune ur guitar down to DADGBE all you do is pick up ur finger 1 fret from ther previous chord. Awesome tab none the less

nice song!! love it!!

and the guy on the first list,
pls don't say "dude"

dude=used for addressing non-respectable people!

Will said...

Dude, that's not cool xD

Honestly though, it's a casual and fully respectable way to talk to your friends and we're all friends here-it's not some job interview for a big corporation or something. We're just laid back, while we're having a good time discussing how to praise God with our music, yeah?

I really liked your version i can play it just like that but i mess up a little here and a little there.

Your doing good things with your talent. May god bless you and may you use your talents to save more people for christ.
