Here's the instrumental part of Stay and Wait, from Hillsong United's Zion album. I notice that most people tend to play it just with the first two strings, but this means you fretting hand has to move up and down the fretboard quite a bit. Here, I switch to the 2nd and 3rd strings as well, to reduce movement.

My main problem with playing Hosanna (the Paul Baloche one) is that the original version had some sort of backing track to it which was difficult to replicate in a live setting. Somehow the music always felt rather empty. To fill up the gaps, I used loads of dotted 8th note delay, maybe a little like how U2 would do it? It's great fun with the delay, and makes a clean guitar sounds a Unknownnoreply@blogger.com35tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-587218543999405290.post-22970937892073954242013-07-20T16:11:00.000+08:002013-07-20T16:11:19.945+08:00The Stand (instrumental variation)By Kenny
When I first took up the electric guitar I started with Noel Gallagher's riffs - they were catchy and quite manageable for a beginning guitarist. I took a leaf out from his book for this riff, can anyone guess which Oasis song this is from?

By Kenny
Here's "You Deserve" by Hillsong, from their "This is Our God" album. We've been playing it a lot in church recently, so I've put in a few new riffs to make things a little more varied. The "video" is actually just a sound recording from the service, and there's no video.
